Could a globalised system be the answer?

The Covid-19 pandemic has shown how interconnected the whole world has become, causing the spread of the virus in a matter of weeks. It has also shown how not all medical systems are able to provide the same level of care to their patients. This poses the question "would global universal healthcare make sense?" The quoted article says yes, it makes perfect financial sense to achieve this. But it would require the collaboration of both the public sector and the private sector including insurance and pharmaceutical companies to allow for greater domestic investments and developments to be made with each country underlining their own priorities. 

The article shows how different sectors would need to come together in order for this to be achieved.
